South Palm Beach/Broward Region

Welcome

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to FIDF. I am particularly grateful for the safety and security our soldiers provide and sleep more peacefully knowing that my parents and grandchildren, living in Israel are being looked after. Our soldiers work tirelessly to defend Israel’s borders. This heavy responsibility falls on the shoulders of these young members of the IDF. Knowing that we here in America are looking out for them, strengthens them and gives them the courage to continue. It is our honor and privilege to support our soldiers and the State of Israel! Friends of the IDF helps take care of our soldiers’ financial, emotional, educational and spiritual needs through transformational opportunities. On behalf of our soldiers of Israel, I thank you for your continued support of Israel. Israel, who is always there for us!

About the South Palm Beach/Broward Chapter

The South Palm Beach/Broward Region was founded in 2003 and is composed of professionals and retirees from a wide range of communities. Our goal is to engage and educate people in our community with the understanding that our humanitarian mission focuses on the welfare of Israel’s soldiers who are both the future Israeli society, as well as future transformers of the world at large. To accomplish this, our region hosts a variety of events throughout the year at synagogues, country clubs, and private homes. At our events we feature a variety of dynamic speakers that include high-level dignitaries from Israel and Washington D.C., representatives of the IDF, soldiers and more. Our annual gala hosts 500 people and raises over a million dollars.

We are a chapter deeply committed to FIDF’s mission of supporting Israel’s soldiers. Over the years, we have helped fund several construction projects, adopted IDF units, including the Golani brigade, and have raised more than $5 million for the IMPACT! Scholarship Program. Through our donors’ generous contributions, we are also proud to support wounded soldiers, widows, and orphans of Israel as well as the economically challenged.
