Michigan Women’s Luncheon Makes An Impact

The women of FIDF’s Michigan Chapter recently hosted a luncheon, “Women of Valor,” outdoors at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. Over 300 supporters were in attendance and the event raised over $250,000 towards the IMPACT! Scholarship program. At $16,000 for a four-year scholarship, this event alone made it possible for 15 IDF combat veterans to achieve their dreams of higher education. One IMPACT! scholar was in attendance: Sgt. (Res.) Yuval Nifousy who studies psychology at the Academic College of Tel Aviv. Attendees enjoyed a beautiful and meaningful day supporting a vital cause. Congratulations to the chairwomen, Judy Karp and Karen Weiss, the honoree Bluma Schechter and all involved in the event.
