Routes & Itinerary
The preliminary itinerary of the 2023 FIDF Ride Israel is subject to change due to IDF and security approvals, weather conditions, Covid-19 updates, and other unforeseen circumstances.
The 2023 cycling routes were designed by Roy Goldstein, two-time Israel Cycling Champion and former Israel Cycling Academy Member. Roy will be joining us on our journey throughout Israel, pushing us to our limits…or enjoying a good laugh along the way.
There will be 3 different daily routes options available: 30 miles range, 30-50 miles, and 70 miles. E-Bike rentals are a great option, and we welcome spouses/partners to join for an off-bike experience. Every morning you will have the opportunity to ride in the desired level you choose for that day. Each group has its own unique elements, designed to provide riders of all levels with a challenge and sense of accomplishment.
Every morning riders will enjoy breakfast at the hotel prior to departure for the day. Each riding group has its own support team of lead riders, sweep cars, rest stops, and medic. There are rest stops at every 15-20 miles, including one longer lunch stop. Food (often dried fruit, nuts, granola bars) and energy drinks are provided, plus sunscreen, water, and shade. Our cycling tour guides will also teach about the history of the region and the group will have the unique opportunity to visit IDF bases along the way.
Post ride, participants can enjoy free time at the hotel, nightly group dinners, FIDF programming and a briefing about the following day’s routes.
Sunrise is around 6:00am and sunset is around 5:00pm.
We will meet in Tel Aviv (time and location TBD) to load your bike and transport the group to the hotel. The drive North will include a short stop. Upon arrival to the hotel, our support team will be available to help participants assemble, check and test ride their bikes. We will end the evening with a welcome dinner and orientation for the week ahead. Get excited to ride!
